| I have a some websites with bluehost web hosting and thus far they've been pretty decent. There were a couple of down times during the first 7-9 months and those lasted two hours. I documented one of those outages on this site.
If that is satisfactory to you, then there's no question that you should consider them. By the way, I dont work for bluehost. My site's hosted with them are LawMatters and FibroTalk Support Community and GiantMinds.
I subscribe to a service called siteuptime and according to them, Bluehoast is at 99.6%, although I dont fully trust siteuptime.com. However, if bluehost's service level changes significantly, I will post again. I hope this helps. Good luck! " - Soulstice99 |

| First of all,its not possible for any company to be a "perfect" web hosting provider. However, Blue Host comes very close.
I have used several others in the past 5 years, and no one compares in overall performance, quality and satisfaction. My previous was iPowerweb, which is also pretty decent, but not quite as good as Blue Host.
Currently I am hosting 3 domains with Blue Host, and I recommend them very highly to other people when I know they are searching for a reliable web host.
Their customer support team is about the most pleasant and informed as I have ever dealt with. I've only had one minor issue, and they were quick to respond and give me the help I neeeded to resolve the issue. I have never experienced any unreasonable downtime.
In summary, Blue Host is top notch company, with just about everything you could wish for both personal and business websites. |

| I have been using Bluehost for over three years and have only ever had one problem when one of their servers blew up, all of my data was migated to another within 8 hours.
I have no problem recommending them to my clients and have had not one complaint from them either.
PS I do not work for them or have any relationship with them at all other than being a customer. When I saw this site I felt compelled to write this glowing report as the other tossers out there such as ipowerweb etc are so terrible that when a company does something well, I feel that it ought to be recognised.

My rating:
A while ago I went searching for a new host (I had been with Lunar pages). I needed to host 3 different domains so I was looking for a host that allowed at least 3 domains in the basic cost.
I finally found bluehost.com, the price seemed good etc etc. So I decided to sign up with them.
Firstly: A minor complaint but a really stupid system on their part. You can\'t create a add-on domain until you configure the nameservers for that domain to point to bluehost. This means that if you are transferrring a domain from an old host you can not have everything set up before you actually change the NS. I suspect you could call and bypass this however.
I have found the website to be reliable, and e-mail to be reliable. More reliable then lunarpages (where on a weekly basis I would have to reactive my yahoogroups e-mail address because it would bounce).
The only \"problem\" I had was interesting. They require every account to be verified. Fine I had called in and verified the account. A couple days later I found I couldn\'t get my e-mail and trying to log into the account reported that it didn\'t exist. I called up and it turned out that they saw I signed up from Israe, and used a Canadian address. The fraud department deleted the account (without really paying attention to the fact it has already been verified). They were appologetic and fixed the problem, as well they restored backups so that I didn\'t loose data (my E-mail is all IMAP and I didn\'t have a backup (I have learnt my lesson)). The truth is I understand and commend the fraud department for being so diligent, and I don\'t blame them for flagging the account. My only complaint is they could have and should have gotten in touch with me.
All in all I have been with them for a month (not long), and I am very happy. The price (especially since I am hosting 3 domains) is excellent, and the support is first class. Reliability is a solid 9.5/10. |

| We used powweb on a suggestion from someone, and upon closer look they are using a different provider...hmmm. They support person over at PowWeb was completely lost. Also, trying to Set up an add on domain was extremely hard…they use their own non-standard control panel and its almost impossible to get a DB setup without having to make a call to support. When I requested a refund during the trial period…they stalled and dodged but after sevetal emails and phone calls, they finally omplied. Total waste of time…stay away! |

| Ive just been with AN Hosting for about year now. Many good features, and abilities including the ability to upload through the web shell. Very convenient. After a little while I noticed my site was slow for periods, but they have moved to a new data center and no problems since. They tend to be a tad slow on upgrading Joomla and Wordpress Content Management systems. |
